Established 2011
Aseniwuche Environmental Corporation (AEC) is an Indigenous-owned environmental services company established in 2011 by the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation. Based in Grande Cache, Alberta, AEC was created to build local employment opportunities, develop environmental expertise and strengthen the Nation's participation in projects taking place throughout its Traditional Land Use area.
Over the years, AEC has grown into a multidisciplinary team of environmental professionals, field technicians and experienced labour crews. We provide environmental monitoring, wildlife and bird nest sweeps, vegetation management, HDD monitoring and frac walking, water management, reclamation and environmental field support.
Our work supports clients in the oil & gas, forestry, mining and construction sectors throughout Alberta. We combine technical expertise, Indigenous and local knowledge, and practical field experience to deliver services in remote locations, challenging terrain and changing field conditions.
Through ongoing training, mentorship and partnerships, AEC continues to expand its capabilities while creating opportunities for local people to build meaningful, long-term careers in the environmental industry.
Aseniwuche Environmental Corporation is proudly owned by Aseniwuche Winewak Nation (AWN). Learn more about the Nation, its history and community by visiting the AWN website.
